What am I getting myself into?
No certain level of participation is required—you get out what you put in. You’ll walk away from each meeting in awe of the power of sport and walk away from college with close friends and an impressive LinkedIn headline.
How do meetings work?
Anyone can drop into our meetings. Meetings are held every other Wednesday (weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8) from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
What is a typical meeting like?
We have around 400 members, and around 150-250 come to meetings regularly. Site visit capacity is determined by our industry hosts.
Successful alumni and industry professionals fly into Eugene or drive down from Portland to share their career journeys, insights, and advice. Expand your industry knowledge and explore possible career paths without having to travel—just walk over to Lillis (or log onto Zoom while we’re still virtual).
That's a lot of members. Are there ways to connect at a smaller level?
The club maintains smaller interest groups, each with 10-25 members, that are formed around topics including sneaker culture, women in sports business, sports debate, sports analytics.
Does my class year or major matter for becoming a member?
No—it’s never too early or late to start experiencing value. We represent 20 majors and have large member classes from every class year.
Besides Portland, where do study tours take place?
You will have the opportunity to join the club on international trips to London, Germany, and the Netherlands, as well as domestic study tours like our annual trip to Boston—a packed week including company site visits and the MIT Sports Analytics Conference. New opportunities to expand are always considered.
