Rich Duncombe is a proven executive to drive growth and launch new businesses within Fortune 50 technology companies. He is passionate about catalyzing innovation from concept to reality and creating corporate innovation systems that deliver profitable growth, foster a culture of innovation, and motivate talented employees.
Duncombe has led more than 35 projects in new business, products, or technology, in a wide array of applications. During his more than 30 years at HP, his executive leadership roles spanned from business unit vice president to director roles in strategy, product management, technology development, operations, and sales. Most recently, Duncombe formed the Innovation Catalyst Group to drive business growth for clients in high technology businesses.
Duncombe served as president of the Corporate Venturing Consortium in partnership with MIT, as curricula adviser and lecturer for the Building Innovative Leaders program with Stanford, and as a board member for the Willamette Angel Conference. Duncombe is an Innovation Standard Certified Professional under the International Innovation Management Standard. He has been a keynote speaker and session leader at a number of innovation conferences and webinars.
Duncombe has been happily married for more than 30 years and has four adult children. The family is active outdoors and enjoys hiking, skiing and diving. Duncombe is an avid endurance athlete having raced in numerous marathons, ultramarathons and triathlons.
