Since 2014, the Oregon Consulting Group has worked with a variety of clients ranging from startups, local and regional businesses, and nonprofits—all utilizing human-centered design to deliver invaluable insights and solutions that make a real impact for the client and the organization.
OCG operates under the guidance of a professional advisor and draws on the expertise of University of Oregon faculty and research resources to provide clients with a professional deliverable from student consulting teams at the fraction of the cost of a traditional consultancy.
Industry Expertise
Once admitted into OCG, each consultant completes an in-depth industry report on a topic of their choosing. Working under the guidance of an executive OCG member, the consultant conducts extensive primary and secondary research and generates recommendations to the industry's most pressing problems. These industry reports prepare newly admitted consultants to enter their first client-facing project.
What to Expect
Every project is led by a dedicated project manager and a team of well-trained student consultants. Projects are bound by a clear statement of work and clients remain up to date on the team’s progression through weekly client meetings.
Client Impact
OCG’s unique approach to solving problems has demonstrated its positive impact on client organizations. Recommendations and deliverables have given businesses and nonprofits the tools and information necessary to make an impact.
Student Impact
While still maintaining superior quality of work, OCG engagements help develop critical skills of research and analysis, frameworks, and client communication in a hands-on environment that is unattainable in a classroom setting.
