Ranking Up

U.S. News & World Report released its Best Undergraduate Business Colleges rankings and the Lundquist College is celebrating our return this fall to the Top 50.

In fact, the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business has earned several noteworthy distinctions along with clearing the top 50:

  • #47 Overall (a four-spot gain).

  • #29 Among Public Business Schools (an ascension of three spots)

  • #15 Among Business Schools West of the Mississippi River (even with last year)

  • #26 Among universities with a tuition of less than $42,000 (up three spots)

  • #19 Among universities with undergraduate enrollment of less than 20,000 students (a hop of two spots up)

One of our star students, Lorena Garcia, Class of 2024, was also featured on the U.S. News website:

Said Garcia: "I was able to participate in a competition for business students from 30 different universities: we had to create a multifaceted environmental justice toolkit. That was the exact experience where I saw most of the business administration content applicable, extracting information and being able to apply it in a real-world company. Honestly, I think this is a major that you can't go wrong with. It's applicable in pretty much any field of work just because it's so broad, and there are so many different ways that you can get into concentrations like sports business or marketing. It's just such a diverse major."

For inclusion on the U.S. News list, business programs must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Undergraduate business program rankings are based on peer assessment surveys.

"This fall we have much to celebrate, from increasing our incoming class to upward movement on the U.S. News rankings," said Bruce Blonigen, Edward Maletis dean of the Lundquist College. "Our students and faculty are committed to the hands-on, deep-dive approach to learning and teaching that makes Oregon so distinctive."
