Warsaw’s Alumni Engagement Strategy

The Warsaw Sports Marketing Center at the University of Oregon is putting its foot on the gas of alumni engagement. The center has announced a three-pronged alumni engagement strategy that will further enhance connections with, between, and among alumni, industry, and even prospective students. The three components to that strategy include the following:

  1. Launching branded Warsaw alumni groups in Portland, New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area by fall 2016. The goal is to confirm local chapter leadership in the coming month. Future plans include chapters in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Denver. If you are interested in serving as chapter leadership in your area, please let us know by contacting Whitney Wagoner.
  2. Engaging alumni into our MBA recruiting and conversion processes for the center. The goal is to incorporate phone calls from our alumni to prospective MBA students. This will engage prospects in the importance of the Warsaw Center alumni network from the beginning and leverage the impressive depth and breadth of our alumni to help us attract the best and brightest. Alumni likewise be involved and connected with the students coming to Eugene even earlier. If you are interested in being part of the list of alumni who speak with prospective MBA students, please email Whitney Wagoner to let her know.

  3. Creating an MBA alumni class pairing program whereby each current class of MBA students will be connected with the graduating class four years out for mentorship throughout their time in Eugene. Making meaningful connections with current students and leveraging the breadth of the center's alumni network will serve all well. Those in the classes of 2013 and 2014 can expect to hear more from the center soon.

As the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center pursues its new alumni engagement strategy, all of the above elements will likely morph and improve. As always, feedback is welcome.
