Frequently Asked Questions about the Minor
To declare the minor students need at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and must have already declared a UO major other than pre-business, business administration, or accounting. Students can declare their business minor at business.uoregon.edu/ug/minor/declare-drop. Students who have declared the minor in a prior term will notice the minor listed on the header of the degree audit on DuckWeb.
To receive advising on the business minor, students may speak with a peer advisor without an appointment in our undergraduate advising office located in 203 Peterson or call 541-346-3303 to schedule an appointment with a full-time advisor.
Tutoring and labs: Students general fees cover tutoring services in writing and math at UO Academic Learning Services located in the basement of PLC. Braddock Tutoring is located in 155 Lillis is open Monday-Thursday from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Tutoring can provide help with courses in accounting, business law, business writing, calculus, economics, finance, management, marketing, statistics and decision sciences. The business school computer labs and information technology support are also available to business minors.
Economics majors: EC 201 and EC 202 or EC 311 and EC 313 substitute for BA 315. Also, FIN 316 will substitute for BA 318 with a 3.00 GPA (or better) for students who wish to take FIN316 instead of BA318. However, students need to be authorized to register for FIN 316 by an advisor in 203 Peterson prior to the start of registration.
