In order to review your application it must be complete. An application is not considered complete until all of the materials listed below have been received. You will receive an email confirmation once your application is complete.
Please review the following detailed application instructions carefully before completing the application. Admission notification is usually 30-45 days AFTER file completion. If you are offered admission, you will receive an offer reply form along with your admission letter, allowing you to accept, deny, or defer the admission offer.

2014 Online Oregon MBA Hobsons Departmental Application
If you decide to submit a NEW Hobsons application (i.e., applying to a new academic year), you MUST create a new login account with Hobsons using a DIFFERENT email address than one used in an earlier application.

UO online Graduate Admission Application
The UO Graduate application requires a different login and password from the Hobsons application.
The major to select is: General Business – Oregon MBA
Oregon MBA applicants need to apply for FALL term admission. Only ‘Accelerated’ Oregon MBA applicants may apply to Winter or Spring term.
Applicants will be required to pay the non-refundable $50.00 application fee at the time the UO Graduate Admission Online Application is submitted.
It is UO and Graduate School policy that a UO Graduate Admission Application is only good for one term. If you decide to apply to a different term, you need to submit a new UO Graduate Application and pay the $50 non-refundable application fee again.

Why are you seeking an MBA and, in particular, why are you seeking this degree from the University of Oregon and the Center of Excellence you have selected? How will the Oregon MBA support both your short- and long-term career goals, and how will you, in turn, uniquely contribute to the Oregon MBA community?
- Two recommendations (Register recommenders online via Hobsons application)
After you register your recommenders online via Hobsons application, your recommenders will be automatically directed to a recommendation website linked to your application. At least one of the recommendations should come from an employer. (No relatives, family friends, or clergy, please.)
You can submit your Hobsons application BEFORE your recommendations have been received.
- Up-to-date resume (submit online via Hobsons application – do NOT mail duplicate paper copies)
- Official GMAT score report
Submit an official copy of your GMAT score by selecting the GMAT Business School program name Charles H. Lundquist College of Business – MBA Program (code = KSQ-5N-27). A few helpful GMAT resources to explore are Beat the GMAT, Khan Academy, and the Economist. For more information on preparing for and scheduling a GMAT exam, please visit the GMAT website.
If you have already taken the GMAT exam, but did not list the UO Charles H. Lundquist College of Business as a participating school to have access to your online official score report, you will need to contact GMAT in order to add our school to the list of participating schools who can access your report.
Note: GMAT scores are only valid for five (5) years.

Official Electronic Transcripts. Official electronic transcripts should be sent to: email@example.com.
Degree Certificate. If your awarded degree is not posted on the transcript, as is the case with most international transcripts, you will need to include the related degree certificate with your transcript.
UO Transcripts. If you attended or are currently attending the University of Oregon, you do not need to send your University of Oregon transcript to the UO Office of Admissions.
Degree in progress. If you are presently pursuing a degree which you anticipate will be awarded AFTER your application is submitted, please submit an official in-progress transcript and then an additional official transcript showing the degree posted once the degree has been awarded.
The Lundquist College of Business Departmental Hobsons application will require you to upload one (1) scanned document that contains your unofficial transcripts from all of your colleges or universities that shows college-level work.

Applicants Whose Native Language Is Not English
In addition to the above, applicants whose native language is not English must submit:
- Language Competency
Official TOEFL, IELTS, or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Score Report. Applicants whose native language is not English must show proof of language proficiency. The score report is valid for 2 years only. ETS must send a TOEFL score report to the University of Oregon, Institutional Code: 4846, Department Code 02.
IT CAN TAKE UP TO 30 DAYS FROM THE TIME OF YOUR REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL ETS SCORES TO BE AVAILABLE IN THE UO SYSTEM. PLAN YOUR REQUEST SO THAT ETS SCORES ARE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO APPLICATION DEADLINES.
Exemption. Applicants who submit transcripts proving that they have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution or from Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom are exempt from the language proficiency requirement.
Degree in Progress. If you are pursuing a US or other exempt degree which has not yet been awarded, please submit your most recent TOEFL score report.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS (conditional admission is NOT offered)
- IBT TOEFL Minimum = 96
- PBT TOEFL Minimum = 600
- IELTS Minimum = 7.5
- PTE Academic Minimum = 66
- One (1) original degree certificate if separate from transcript (submit to UO Admissions).

Once we've reviewed your application, we decide whether to interview you. If so, we will contact you to arrange for a phone interview or campus visit. If you have already made an official campus visit, another interview is usually not necessary.
