Frequently Asked Questions

I didn't major in business as an undergraduate. Will I be able to succeed in the program?

Absolutely! Many students come to the program without undergraduate degrees in business. Once you're admitted, we'll provide free access to custom courses in MBA Math and advanced Excel training.

FUN FACT: Each year, more than half the students who graduate in the top 20 percent of their class earned their undergrad degrees in subjects other than business.

How much work is there outside class?

Most students and graduates report spending 10-15 hours a week on schoolwork outside of class.

I travel a lot for work. What happens if I can't attend a class weekend?

You can attend—and participate in—class remotely via Zoom. (You also have the option of watching a recording of the class, although this does not count as full attendance.)

Do I need a minimum GPA to qualify for the program?

We look at the entirety of your career, and we're much more interested in what you have achieved in your professional life.

What kind of career support do you offer?

Executive coaching and lifetime career coaching are included in the program. We also provide plenty of opportunities for you to connect with our extensive alumni network.

How often will I need to go to Eugene?

You'll spend two days in Eugene during Executive MBA Immersion, the program's half-week orientation in September. After that, all classes take place on our beautiful campus in Northeast Portland. (But if you want to head south for a Ducks game, we won't stop you!)
