ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dave Cole is a cybersecurity veteran with more than twenty-six years of experience. His career has taken him from leadership roles in consulting companies like Deloitte and ISS, to enterprise with Foundstone, CrowdStrike, and Tenable, to consumer product companies like Norton. He is currently the CEO and cofounder of Open Raven, a post-Series B company that has pioneered the Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) cybersecurity product category. Cole is a frequent spokesperson on the topic of cybersecurity, speaking on NBC, CNN, and at cybersecurity conferences such as RSA and Black Hat. He’s currently a member of the board for the University of Michigan School of Information and cohosts the Security Voices podcast, now in its fourth season with over fifty episodes.

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Information Session, Class Visit, and Dinner with Doug Wilson on October 13th from 4:00 - 6:30 pm. During this event, you will explore the world of Marketing Strategy, meet our faculty and current students, and learn more about our program.
During the information session, you'll have the chance to hear from members of our admissions team and alumni about what sets our program apart and how it can help you achieve your career goals. Following the information session, you'll attend class with our current students taught by Doug Wilson, who is an expert in Marketing Strategy. This will give you an inside look at the academic rigor and collaborative environment that makes our program unique.
After the class, we'll provide dinner and give you the chance to continue the conversation with our faculty, staff, and current students.
Marketing strategy focuses on how to develop and execute marketing strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage. Key topics include finding strategic market segments, differentiation through value networks, value propositions, channel innovation, global branding, and marketing organization. This course also explores difference between marketing strategy and tactics and discusses how a leader can motivate an organization to rally behind its marketing strategy.

Managerial economics examines economic concepts for solving major managerial problems by covering the concepts of cost, demand, rivalry, and competitive advantage. Includes an overview of monetary and fiscal policy impacts on organizations. Typical project: student learning teams compete in a business simulation.
