Undergraduate 3+1 Management Scholars

An accelerated program for driven students interested in leadership.

Incoming Freshman 25-45 (AP/IB) can choose to enroll as 3+1 Management Scholars, which allows students to complete both their bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree in four years.

Through an evaluation of college-ready credits—for example, advanced placement (AP) and international baccalaureate (IB)—these high-achieving students are fast-tracked for admission to the Lundquist College of Business one full year before their contemporaries. Students in this program complete their undergraduate degree in three years, with the fourth year used to complete the MSM program.

Why Get Your Master's Degree in Management?

The MSM program prepares ambitious students to lead with confidence in today’s business world. Designed specifically for those with non-business undergraduate degrees, the program builds a strong foundation in core business disciplines while placing a distinct emphasis on professional development and applied learning. In just 10 months, students gain in-demand skills in areas such as finance, operations, ethics, and organizational leadership. Through collaborative coursework, real-world projects, and intentional career preparation, MSM students develop the management capabilities and business acumen needed to make an immediate impact in their field of choice from day one.

Moreover, people who have a specialized master’s degree are more likely to be promoted faster than those who do not have an advanced degree. The 3+1 Management Scholar program is designed to fast-track students through the undergraduate curriculum and allow them to use the fourth year to pursue a master's degree, effectively earning their fifth year in four years and maximizing the value to their careers while they are in college. It's a win-win.
