Biography:
Erika Morales brings a passion for event planning and management to the Sports Product Management program. Prior to joining the University of Oregon, Morales served as the registration director and office manager for a local community center, where her role included event management, building management, procurement, and the development of a new registration system.
Morales began her career as a manager for a large mortgage lender before taking some time to focus on her family and volunteer work. During the COVID pandemic, she turned to her creative side and began a custom cushion business. She also partnered with a local t-shirt business to re-purpose their dead t-shirt stock into face coverings. Over a year's time, she designed, cut, sewed, and sold thousands of face coverings and custom cushions.
Morales was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has called Oregon home for the past 30 years, having lived in both Portland and Bend. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, going to see live music, gardening, crafting, snuggling her rescue dog, or attending her children's sporting events.
