MBA Scholarships and Funding

Upon application, candidates may be considered for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are based on academic and professional qualifications and are not need-based. Financial aid comes from a variety of sources, including the Lundquist College of Business, federal government, and public and private sources, and can come in the form of scholarships, loans, federal work-study and university fellowships.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship

The Oregon MBA is committed to growing a community of students and alumni who actively engage in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. The program is also dedicated to supporting students who have experienced discrimination, inequity, and exclusion in their professional or personal lives.

If selected, students will receive a $10,000 scholarship that will be divided equally across the number of terms in the program.

Students will have the opportunity to submit a brief essay to apply for the scholarship within their application to the program. For students starting in fall 2025, the deadline to apply for the DEI scholarship is May 1, 2025.

Graduate Employment (GE) Opportunities

GE positions involve teaching or administrative tasks and are offered by various departments and units across campus. GEs carry a tuition waiver and are paid a stipend. The amount of the stipend awarded is dependent on the number of hours worked per week (8-20 hours). All qualified applicants are considered, regardless of citizenship. Individual qualifications are determined by the hiring department or unit.

A very limited number of administrative GEs are awarded by Lundquist Admissions at the Lundquist College of Business to two-year MBA candidates at the time of admission. Though awarded at the time of admission, these limited positions are fulfilled in the second year of the candidate’s program.

Graduate program GEs will be awarded based on the MBA candidate’s work experience, as it relates to the following program needs; recruitment, admission, advising, and office management. GEs awarded by the Lundquist Admissions office will be filled by the most qualified candidates on a first-come, first serve basis.

To view or apply to open GE positions across campus, visit the University of Oregon Graduate School website.
