In order to expedite the process, applicants are required to apply online. Please review the following detailed application instructions carefully before completing the application.
In order to review your application, it must be complete. An application is not considered complete until all of the materials listed below have been received. You will receive an email confirmation from our office once your application is complete.
Admission notification is typically 30-45 days AFTER your application is completed. If you are offered admission, you will receive an offer reply form along with your admission letter, allowing you to accept, deny, or defer the admission offer.
A completed application consists of:
UO Graduate Admission Application and non-refundable $70.00 (U.S. applicants) or $90.00 (international applicants) application fee
The "major" to select is: Business, MBA
Submit your supplemental application material, described below, within the online application system. Applicants will be required to pay the non-refundable application fee at the time the UO Graduate Admission Online Application is submitted. If you decide to apply to a different year or start term that is outside of the current academic year, you will need to create a new username and pay the non-refundable application fee again.

Two (2) Professional Recommendations

You can submit your departmental application BEFORE your recommendations have been received.
Up-to-date Professional Resume
It is expected that applicants to the Oregon MBA have at least two years of post-bachelor or professional work experience (this is required to be eligible to apply to the accelerated MBA). The typical class average for work experience is three to five years. If you have less than two years of post-bachelors work experience and want to determine if you are competitive for admission to the Oregon MBA, please contact Lundquist Admissions to discuss your specific situation. Email mbainfo@uoregon.edu or call 541-346-3306.
Resumes must include the month and year for position duration (for example, "January 2018–October 2020: Account Representative").

GMAT or GRE Score Report
All applicants are encouraged to submit GMAT or GRE test scores. Applicants may also apply without submitting test scores ("test optional").
Submitting a GMAT or GRE score provides the admission committee with additional evidence of your quantitative skills and abilities to help set you apart from other candidates in the application evaluation process. The admission committee may request that you submit a GMAT or GRE score if they believe your application does not provide enough evidence of your academic and quantitative abilities. Please note: Candidates who have an undergraduate GPA below a 3.25 and/or less than two-years of post-undergraduate work experience are strongly encouraged to submit a GMAT or GRE test score report.
Candidates that choose to apply "test optional" must submit the following test optional statement:
In 200 words or less, provide evidence or describe your quantitative and mathematical reasoning skills, experience with programming and data analysis, and/or how you have employed conceptual frameworks from your undergraduate or post-undergraduate experiences. Also, please explain any underperforming quantitative undergraduate coursework (i.e. economics, stats, accounting, finance, etc.) and what you plan to change in your graduate experience to succeed in your quantitative coursework.
In the case of multiple GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, or GRE scores, we consider the highest overall score. You may submit unofficial test scores to be evaluated for admission and will only need to submit official scores if offered admission. GMAT and GRE scores are valid only for five years after the test date. We must receive the official score report before the test expires. Please allow up to four weeks for official scores to be received.
Submitting official GMAT scores: You can submit your official GMAT score report by selecting the GMAT business school program name Charles H. Lundquist College of Business – MBA Program (code = KSQ-5N-27).
Submitting official GRE scores: You can submit your official GRE score report by using the GRE institutional code for the University of Oregon (4846) and the GRE departmental code for business administration and management (4201).
Language Competency
Applicants whose native language is not English must fulfill additional language proficiency requirements. ("Native language" is defined as the language you spoke at home since birth AND the language you spoke and wrote as your primary language in school beginning at age five and continuing through the rest of your education.)
The admission committee may request a candidate submit TOEFL or IELTS Academic score if they believe an application does not provide enough evidence of English Language proficiency. The admission committee may also request a TOEFL or IELTS after the interview for the program.
Submitting Official TOEFL or IELTS Academic Score Report: The score report is valid for 2 years only. ETS must send a TOEFL score report to the University of Oregon, Institutional Code: 4846.
It can take up to 30 days from the time of your request for official ETS scores to be available in the UO system. Plan your request so that ETS scores are available prior to application deadlines.
