Biography:

Mark Francis is an associate teaching professor of marketing and Woodward Family Foundation Fellow at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He is also the MBA program manager for the college's Warsaw Sports Business Center. He teaches sports law, sport finance, brand management, and economic aspects of sport.

Francis is a seasoned sports business educator, consultant, and speaker with extensive academic and industry experience. Since 2011, he has served as a lecturer at UCLA Anderson's Center for Media, Entertainment & Sports. He also consults on fan engagement, event production, and sports ethics, and holds positions on such advisory boards as the Business of Hockey Institute, IMPACT Learning Institute, and the Leigh Steinberg Foundation for Traumatic Brain Injuries.

In his previous roles, Francis was an associate professor and senior director of the sports business MBA and BA programs at Concordia University Irvine, where he launched an innovative MBA program in sports business and served as an NCAA faculty athletics representative. He also taught in the Business of Hockey Institute's MBA hockey business program from 2016 to 2021.

A native of Fredericton, Canada, Francis earned his MBA, MA in sports administration, and diploma in university teaching from the University of New Brunswick, as well as a graduate diploma in sports administration from Concordia University in Montreal.
