Biography:

Pradeep K. Pendem is an assistant professor in the Department of Operations and Business Analytics at the Lundquist College of Business. His research focuses on large-scale, data-driven operational analytics in manufacturing and service systems. He incorporates methodologies from statistics, econometrics, stochastic modeling, and optimization fields for his research. Pendem's research has been published in premier operations management journals, such as Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and has been featured and cited in the U.S. Economic Report of the President and U.S. Congress bill.

Pendem received his PhD in operations management from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He holds professional memberships in the Decision Sciences Institute, Production and Operations Management Society, and Institute for Operations Research and Management Science. Before his academic career, he worked as a forecasting analyst for Fidelity Investments.
