In order to apply to the Business Honors Program, you must be admitted to the business administration or accounting major or have an application to the business administration or accounting major currently under review. Typically, students apply at the beginning of the term during which they will complete their lower division (pre-business) requirements.
Applications are accepted in fall, winter, and spring terms. The application deadline is the second Friday of each term, as follows for the 2026–2027 academic year:
- Friday, October 9 for winter 2027 admission
- Friday, January 15 for spring 2027 admission
- Friday, April 9 for fall 2027 admission
Admission Process
You will be asked to provide the following when completing your application to the Business Honors Program. You will be directed to submit each portion via the application portal.
- An American business-style résumé (attached as a PDF document to the application). For resources and outlines, see the Application to the Business Major resource page on the Mohr Career Services website. We strongly encourage you use the Big Resume tool found on that page to revise your resume prior to submitting it.
- For students taking pre-business courses at another school, proof of enrollment or an unofficial transcript (applicants intending to complete all required courses at the University of Oregon do not need to include this information). Attach proof of enrollment or an unofficial transcript to your application. Failure to provide this information may result in your application being denied. Necessary files can be obtained by copying transcripts or even taking a screen shot from the transfer institution's website and pasting it into a PDF document. the applicant's full name and the school’s name should be listed on the document.
- Responses to interview questions in Big Interview, a job interview training tool. Follow the instructions below to prepare your responses:
- Log in to the Big Interview portal with your uoregon email address.
If you log on to Big Interview and cannot find the assignment, you may already have a Big Interview account through the University Career Center. Please email support@biginterview.com and ask them to delete your uoregon.biginterview.com account and create an lcbuoregon.biginterview.com account. For additional questions about Big Interview, contact Mohr Career Services at lcbcareer@uoregon.edu or by visiting them in Lillis 155. - From the dashboard view, select Assignments and enter the code 8e3e4d.
- Record responses to the questions listed there. We recommend watching the video prompts before recording your own responses. You have unlimited chances to respond to each question.
- Once you submit the assignment, go to Assignments > Submitted and click the Share button on your Business Honors application to retrieve the link to your interview.
- Log in to the Big Interview portal with your uoregon email address.
Program Requirements
Once admitted, students must complete the following in order to graduate with the Business Honors designation:
- One required honors course (BA 453H) and at least four other honors-designated business core courses*
- A series of two workshops
- At least one significant applied learning or scholarly activity (80 hours)
- At least two community engagement activities (40 hours each)
- Earn a GPA of at least 3.2 each term following admission to the program
*Students who entered the Business Honors Program prior to fall 2026 are required to complete BA 453H and three other honors-designated business core courses.
