Michael A. Martin-Tellis is a commercial real estate finance professional who has a passion for access to education. Martin-Tellis grew up as the fourth of five children, and his family could not afford to send him or his siblings to college. Since then, he has seen firsthand how education changes lives for the better. He devotes time to mentoring undergraduate business students, young professionals, and MBA students.
Martin-Tellis currently serves as assistant vice president of finance for Schnitzer Properties, where he has served in various progressive roles since 2000. He is responsible for raising debt capital for the firm's commercial real estate portfolio and lender relationship management. He also serves on the board of directors at Adelante Mujeres, a Portland-area nonprofit whose mission is to provide holistic education and empowerment opportunities to low-income Latina women and their families, with the goal of fostering full participation and active leadership in the community. Lastly, Martin-Tellis has served as a teams coach at the Oregon Executive MBA since 2019, supporting both first- and second-year cohorts of students on their journey through the program.
Martin-Tellis earned his BS in finance at Portland State University and his MBA from the University of Oregon as a member of the Oregon Executive MBA's class of 2018.
