Who We Are

Vision and Mission

Vision

Our vision is to become a top-25 public business school in the United States, recognized for our business education and scholarship at the national and international levels. We strive to be a top destination where people come to study and research how to apply business concepts to improve and transform our society.

  1. Provide outstanding graduate and undergraduate education that combines a strong foundation in the classroom with experiential, real-world opportunities to prepare our students for strong post-graduate success.
  2. Contribute to the advancement of business knowledge at the highest level through scholarship and doctoral programs in accordance with the research mission of the university.
  3. Impact our community, state, and broader society through distinctive and cutting-edge academic programs that train tomorrow’s business leaders; innovative scholarship that informs and transforms business; and applied and engaged expertise that serves as a resource for business and industry.

Accreditation

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

AACSB Accredited logo

The Lundquist College of Business is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the highest accreditation standard for business schools internationally. The college’s undergraduate program was first accredited in 1923, and its accounting program was accredited in 1989.

Only 800 (6 percent) of the world's 12,600 business schools are AACSB accredited. What's more, because our accounting program is accredited as well as our business school, we belong to a tiny elite of 185 programs—just 1.5 percent of the world's business schools—that have attained this distinction.

  • 96 percent of CEOs with business degrees on the Fortune 500 list attended an AACSB-accredited school.
  • 90 percent of ranked business schools are AACSB accredited.
  • 91 percent of deans report that AACSB accreditation enhances their ability to recruit and retain top faculty.

Association of American Universities

The University of Oregon is a member of the exclusive Association of American Universities (AAU).

Recognized Curriculum

Our MSF program boasts a CFA Institute recognized curriculum, preparing students to sit for the CFA exam. Fewer than 150 universities worldwide are included on this exclusive list.
