All events, excluding the March 22 commencement ceremony itself (which will be held at The Redd), unless otherwise noted will be held on the new UO Portland campus located at 2800 NE Liberty Street, Portland, OR. Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend capstone and Duck Talk events.

Tuesday, March 18

Capstone Presentations

8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. PT

  • Lunch: 11:00–11:30 a.m.

Thursday, March 20

Commencement Rehearsal Followed by Duck Talks
Campus Center, Room 212
9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. PT

  • Rehearsal: 9:00–10:00 a.m.
  • Duck Talks: 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m.
  • Lunch: 12:00–1:00 p.m.

Friday, March 21

Nike Campus Tour and Company Store Visit (students only)
Nike campus—transportation provided!
8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. PT

  • Load vans: 8:30 a.m. (meet on UO Portland campus in the parking lot next to the lab)
  • Nike campus tour and company store visit: 9:00 a.m. (meet in front of the Prefontaine Building)
  • Leave Nike company store and return to UO Portland campus: 3:00 p.m.

Regalia

Students can begin picking up their regalia from Erika in the office on Monday, February 24. Here are some tips for preparing your commencement regalia (cap, gown, and hood) for the ceremony:

  • Keep the tassel on your left.
  • Steam or iron your regalia if it has wrinkles.
  • If ironing, use a low heat. (Gowns have melted...)

Lodging

Family and friends attending graduation can book a discounted hotel rate with the Hampton Inn during graduation weekend.

Parking

The Redd, located at 831 SE Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97214, has a parking lot and street parking available.
