Idea Jam Debuts

Pitch an idea for an online startup to a group of web developers, designers, and business professionals; convince them to join your team; and then spend the weekend working with them building a prototype of the actual product. That was the essence of Idea Jam, a brand new multiday event put on by the Lundquist College's eBusiness Club. Proceedings kicked off on a rainy Friday evening, when contestants presented their start-up ideas in ten-minute pitches. Self-selected groups coalesced around the most promising topics, including a student-run graphic design service and a social media tool for keeping tabs on online friendships. Participants spent much of the ensuing weekend working--with the help of roving professional mentors--to prepare for Sunday's final presentation. Which project took the top honors?
