About

Biography:

Michael Pangburn is the Ehrman V. Giustina Professor and head of the Department of Operations and Business Analytics at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. His expertise includes retail operations, product line design, and sustainability; his areas of research include retail rewards programs, sample boxes, pricing of product trials and updates, and the impact of inventory levels on demand. Pangburn's work on these topics has been published in Production and Operations Management, Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations, and European Journal of Operational Research.

Pangburn received his PhD and MS from the University of Rochester. Before joining the Lundquist College, Pangburn taught at Penn State University and worked at the General Electric Research center in Upstate New York.
