The UO uses the quarter system which divides the academic year into four terms of relatively equal lengths (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). Prior to submitting the UO Online Graduate Admissions Application, please review the UO Academic Calendar to ensure that you are submitting an application for the correct term.
In order to review your application, it must be complete. An application is not considered complete until all of the materials listed below have been received. You will receive an email confirmation once your application is complete. Admission decisions are generally available 30-45 days AFTER an application has been completed and processed.

The departmental application provides additional information that is needed to complete your application for the Lundquist College of Business Master of Science in Finance program.

UO Online Graduate Admission Application
The UO Graduate application requires a different username and password from the departmental application.
The major to select is: Finance
Applicants will be required to pay the non-refundable application fee at the time the UO Graduate Admission Online Application is submitted.
Note: If you decide to apply to a different term outside of the current academic year, you will need to submit a new UO Graduate Application and pay the nonrefundable application fee again. If you apply within the same academic year, you only need to re-complete the UO Graduate Application.
- Statement of purpose (submit online via MSF Departmental Application)
Applicants must address the following questions in the required personal statement (750 word limit): Why are you seeking an MS in Finance from the Lundquist College of Business? How will the MS in Finance support both your short- and long-term career goals, and how will you, in turn, uniquely contribute to the Lundquist College of Business community?
- One recommendation (Register recommenders online via MSF Departmental Application)
The letter of recommendation can come from a professor or a current/past supervisor from work or internship. The recommender should address the applicant's intellectual capacity, motivation, work ethic, and maturity.
You can submit your departmental application BEFORE your recommendations have been received.

- Official GMAT or GRE score report†
Submit an official copy of your GMAT score by selecting the GMAT Business School program name Charles H. Lundquist College of Business – Master of Science in Finance (code = KSQ-5N-95). A few helpful GMAT resources to explore are Beat the GMAT, Khan Academy, and the Economist. For more information on registration, test centers, test preparation materials, and test fees, please visit the GMAT website.
If you have already taken the GMAT exam, but did not list the UO Charles H. Lundquist College of Business as a participating school to have access to your online official score report, you will need to contact GMAT in order to add our school to the list of participating schools who can access your report.
Submit an official copy of your GRE score by using the GRE Institutional Code for the University of Oregon (4846) and the GRE Departmental code for Finance (4102).

Note: GMAT and GRE scores are only valid for five (5) years. We must receive the official score report before the test expires. In the case of multiple GMAT or GRE scores, we consider the highest overall score.
†Provided you include copies of GRE or GMAT score reports in your online application, you may hold off on submitting the official scores until after the admissions decision.
- Transcripts (two-part process)
1. Upload unofficial transcripts from all colleges and universities you attended to the MSF Departmental Application.
2. Submit official transcripts to the University of Oregon Office of Admissions. Please follow official transcript requirements as detailed by the UO Graduate School website.

Degree In Progress. If you are presently pursuing a degree which you anticipate will be awarded AFTER your application is submitted, please submit an official in-progress transcript and then an additional official transcript showing the degree posted once the degree has been awarded.
Degree Certificate. If your awarded degree is not posted on the transcript, as is the case with most international transcripts, you will need to include the related degree certificate with your transcript.
International Transcripts from Non-English Speaking Countries: English translations of transcripts and, where applicable, degree certificates notarized by the issuing university (submit to UO Admissions).

International Credentials: International credentials must be equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree. Additionally, the credentials must be received from an institution recognized by the country’s educational body that oversees institutional approval, such as the Ministry of Education.
