The New Venture Championship (NVC) announced the 2016 venture teams on Tuesday, March 8. Qualifying round judges selected 16 semifinalist teams from colleges and universities around the world. Now in its 25th year, the NVC mission is to develop skilled and knowledgeable entrepreneurial leaders who are able to present their ideas in concise and thoughtful ways, be open to construction, and adapt to the ever-changing business environment.
Hosted in Portland, Oregon by the University of Oregon Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship, NVC is widely considered one of the premier graduate student business plan competitions in the world. Teams from around the world and the United States present and defend their business plans to a panel of esteemed industry-leading judges. Teams receive valuable professional feedback and a chance to win more than $60,000 in cash prizes.
