New Venture Championship Announces 2019 Semifinalists

For the many applicants from colleges and universities around the world, the qualifying round of the 2019 New Venture Championship was yet another test of their drive and innovation. At the end of it all, the qualifying round judges selected 16 teams to take the next step and compete in the semifinal round of the New Venture Championship, April 11-13, 2019 in Portland, Oregon.

Since its founding in 1992, the Lundquist College of Business’s New Venture Championship has been the premier international entrepreneurial investment competition. After clearing the initial qualifying round, semifinalist teams compete for more than $50,000 in total cash awards. Businesses such as KT Tape, the 2009 champion and now-familiar sports tape brand, have competed and laid the groundwork of their reputation during the competition.
