  • Transform data – Format data to extract actionable insights.
  • Create data models – Present your data intuitively and in a visually engaging way, making it easier for your audience to understand complex information.
  • Visualize data – Tell the story of your data in quick, responsive analytics.
  • Share assets – The power of automation ensures that your data reaches the right people at the right time.

Schedule

  • Friday, April 24, 1:00–4:00 p.m. (in-person)
  • Friday, May 1, 1:00–4:00 p.m. (in-person)

Earn a Microcredential

Participants who attend both days of this program and fulfill all requirements are eligible to earn a digital microcredential in Power BI Essentials, validating your newly acquired skills. This portable and verifiable credential can be shared on platforms like LinkedIn, showcasing your expertise to potential employers and offering tangible proof of in-demand competencies.

About the Instructor

Join the UO School of Journalism and Communication and representatives from global PR agency Burson on Monday, April 27 for conversations about the impact of public relations on brand reputation and value as the SOJC becomes "Reputation Capital" for a day! On Monday, April 27, leaders from Burson — one of the world’s largest communications firms and a global authority on reputation, led by University of Oregon graduate and CEO Corey duBrowa — will join SOJC students for a conversation about one of the most valuable assets organizations have today: reputation.

New research from Burson estimates the global “Reputation Economy” at $7.07 trillion, showing that companies with strong reputations generate measurable financial value and outperform their peers.

So what exactly is reputation?

How do organizations measure, monitor, protect, and promote it?

And what role do public relations professionals play in managing reputation in an AI-driven world?

Burson — which worked with Nike and the University of Oregon on the recent Grateful Ducks collection — will bring the perspective of a firm that helps some of the world’s most influential organizations build and protect reputation.

All students are welcome. No registration required. PR Major Photo Op: Burson is the largest public relations firm in the world. Let's make a statement and show just how big the PR major is by taking the largest group photo EVER of SOJC PR majors! When: Monday, April 27 5-6pm: Panel Discussion - Lawrence 177 Featuring:
