Oregon MBA Earns Businessweek Ranking

The Oregon MBA is among the best U.S. business schools according to Bloomberg Businessweek's 2016 survey results.

Rankings are based on data compiled from more than 1,000 recruiters, 15,000 alumni, and 9,000 recent graduates.

Harvard Business School earned the top spot, followed by Stanford Graduate School of Business. Duke University's Fuqua School of Business earned third.

“What an honor it is for the Oregon MBA to be ranked as a best full-time MBA by Bloomberg Businessweek," said Monica Bray, assistant dean for Lundquist College graduate programs. “We agree and aim to continue on our path toward excellence. As we move forward and at every opportunity, we continue to express the values of our MBA program around excellence, integrity, communication, diversity, and leadership."

Inclusion in the Bloomberg Businessweek 2016 rankings is just one more indicator of the growing momentum for the Oregon MBA and a fantastic cap to a year that saw the University of Oregon named the #1 Green MBA by The Princeton Review for the second consecutive year, as well as a record-breaking increase in applications, and growing enrollment.

Interest in our program is at an all time high. Applications to the Oregon MBA have more than doubled since 2012. And competition is stiff.

“More graduate degrees in business are awarded annually than in any other field in the U.S., and new business schools are accredited by the dozen every year," said Ellen Pollock, editor, Bloomberg Businessweek.

Employers like our Oregon MBA graduates, too. Our program ranks eighth among employers surveyed in the 13 states composing the Western United States. Nationwide, we earned 53rd in the Employer Survey rank. Rounding out the highlights were our 71st spot in the Student Survey rank and 74th place in Salary rank.

“We have made significant progress in recent years thanks to the collective efforts of so many dedicated and talented individuals," Bray said. “It is their work that has advanced us and allowed for significantly increased enrollment, The Princeton Review's Best Green MBA two years in a row, this ranking, and so much more. It is inspiring to work with and among such individuals, along with our amazing students and alumni."

The rankings appeared in the print issue of the November 21-27 Bloomberg Businessweek.
